For the first time in the five years I’ve had this blog, I can finally say this about the World Series:

Well, I don’t hate you, New Yorker, but I can’t stand Sterling and all his stock phrases and exclamations. ESPECIALLY THAT ONE!!!!! Honestly, I’m not hating on you, just Mr. Pompous, not to mention his annoying sidekick Suzyn Waldman, she of the eardrum-shredding voice. If you need inspiration for a blog, you could do a grouchy complaining one on all his dumb, oft-repeated observations (”You just can’t figure baseball”…”Every day, it’s a whole new ballgame.” Well duh) and lame, overused “Sterling-isms” (”An A-BOMB!! From A-ROD!!!”…”Jorgy juiced one!!!”…Robinson Cano…don’t ya know!!”… “A Thrilla from Godzilla!!!”…and…oh sorry, I just about wrote my own blog here).
But I love what the Yankees did this year - they were just about perfect (except for losing their first 8 games against the Red Sox). YEE-HAW is right!
