Red belly up, paws stretched to the ceiling, Calla looks so calm when she sleeps. Her head is upside-down, her neck extended, her jowls flopping to the mattress below. I roll over and pat her exposed belly. She snores.
Let a sleeping dog lie

Laura – Great word picture! That was beautifully written – it made me want to get a dog (but not that particular dog, if it comes with an incontinence problem!).
Also: Wow! Four blogs is one week! From famine to feast – thank you.

Are you trying to trying to counteract all of the negative incontience-related press Calla’s been getting lately by spinning some more positive images? Becuase I think you’re going to have to let the bad publicity die down first. I totally thought this was going to end with your hand getting peed on.
I know this isn’t what you want to hear, but I’m talking to you as a Public Relations professional here.

On second thought…what’s wrong with this beautifully written word picture? If Calla’s already widdled on your bed, why are you letting her sleep there, upside-down head, extended neck, flopping jowls, red belly and all?
If you can’t find Doggie Diapers anywhere, maybe you should put a Chux (disposable) or a cloth incontinent pad (washable) under Calla the Leaking Dog.

Oh nerts. I just noticed a typo in my first response above. It should read:
Also: Wow! Four blogs IN one week!
Thanks again.
