Where procrastination comes to flourish

Dog tricks, inventions, nimble veggies, green buttons and other ways to waste time on the Internet

Hello. Here are some items to help you procrastinate:

1) First and foremost, the most exciting YouTube video in the history of YouTube videos, starring MDIC’s very own dog Calla and Calla’s best friend, Hanu:

YouTube Preview Image

Hanu does, in fact, catch his treat—it just doesn’t look like it because he immediately begins scouring the floor for crumbs. Sadly, Hanu recently moved away—more on that later. (If you missed Hanu’s last YouTube appearance, you might want to procrastinate by watching that as well.)

2) After one of McCain’s advisers referred to the BlackBerry as a “miracle that John McCain helped to create,” a new blog popped up highlighting his other miraculous inventions. (Hat tip to my coworker for passing this gem along.)

3) Long-time readers with incredibly good memories may recall this anthropomorphic carrot:

Well, consider this the second chapter of Vegetables that Resemble Human Legs:

Green and delicious. Now that’s hot.

4) From green and delicious to green and shiny: the story of my mac & cheese dilemma I posted to my company’s blog, Shiny Green Button. (If you’re feeling like an extra special procrastinator, you should leave a comment over there, too.)

5) Still bored? Find out what your name would be if Sarah Palin was your mother. Mine’s Bash Budweiser Palin.

That’s all I got for ya.

In college I grew what became known as the “Maplethorpe Carrot.” It had two long legs and one shorter, thick, uh, leg. It was a scream. Maybe you had to be there.

Calla is such a pretty dog. You have such a variety in this post. Cute pups, sexy beans and great inventions of the man who is older than the pb&j sandwich. Bravo!

I will go to the Palin name generator but not right now. I am still having a hard time dealing with her on the ticket. Instead, I will watch the other youtube video. I bet Hanu has been through a more thorough vetting process.

I submitted my first and middle names; the Generator came up with Bigger Channel Palin!! Why couldn’t I have gotten a cool name like Bash Budweiser?!?
By the way, did you or your landlord ever replace the door Calla chowed down on?

“michael5000, if you were born to Sarah Palin, your name would be:
    Rankle Hiway Palin”
