I dare you to show me something cuter:
I flew down to San Diego for the weekend to celebrate my cousin Marisa’s daughter Leah’s first birthday. She is so flipping adorable, it’s kind of ridiculous. Such a good kid, too. Here she is with my Uncle Joe, his new puppy Ajax and yours truly:
As is always the case when the MDIC family gets together, there are stories to tell. Stay tuned. In the meantime—happy birthday, Leah!

Yes! Those are the cutest! Such a determined little shoppah. But her face in the pic with you and your uncle is even sweeter. Three great smiles there. That’s one adorable little girl fo sho.
Is the puppy in the cart hers? It’s bigger that she is! Of course making it even cuter.

Puppies who love kids: tough to beat. I’m told my grandparents had a puppy Saint Bernard who used to love me when I was Leah’s age… but that was long before digital photography, and also, that dog hated everyone else.
I love your family stories. Almost make me think mine is normal (have been leaving messages about ‘The Love Machine’ on my facebook…. )

I’m glad this hasn’t broken out into a cutest niece contest. Though I did spend 5 minutes looking for ammunition ;^)
The first pic is great. Both niece and pup are trying to figure out why they are stuck. Pup looks pretty happy in the third pic. The last pic? nice…

Well, I babysit two of the most (if not THE MOST) adorable kids on the planet, and I figured I should be able to come up with at least one shot that compared to your pictures, but alas…I don’t have a SERIES of shots like yours that comes close to being as adorable. So you win this dare, for now.

I agree that those pictures of Leah pushing Jersey in the cart are the cutest I’ve ever seen.
I think the group photo is cute too (Ajax doesn’t seem as keen on it though). And I fully suspect the MDIC family is capable of creating reams of storyworthy moments and causing plenty of trouble, whatever the party.
