I planted a fern outside of my apartment.

Look what I found in the soil.

There is a pink rose bush in the front yard. Girdie shat out a plum tomato plant behind it, but we didn’t give it a stake in time and it collapsed from its own weight. Girdie also shat out a pair of sunflower plants. Impressive little gardener, that pig.

Chilling on the stoop.

Summer is but a distant memory. Thanks for bringing it back for a moment.

You have a great eye when it comes to photographs.

I would like a pig, I think. I would like summer back, too, as I sit here in my office and look down at my fingernails that are turning blue from both the chill outside and the HVAC system that is always a few days behind the weather. Dude.

Oh–I love the one of your pooch! CUTE! I am taking pictures like a mad woman lately. That is what getting a new, fun camera will do for you, I guess.
RYC: You are so funny. Of course you diddn’t guilt me into baking! You inspired me–I think it rocks that you do it. Besides, only my mom can guilt me into things, and mainly they involve her desire for me to not ask her for anything (one of her favorite phrases is: “I don’t have time for this!!”). I think many eldest daughters feel this guilt. It comes with the territory.

I suspect that our warm, sunny weekend was summer’s last gasp. Time to put the garden to bed.

chelsayah is *such* a photogenic dawg. she really is beautifull, she’s got a lovely coat.
and OH!!! piggay! damn, dude, i love pigs. what kind of temperament does girdie have? looks pretty chill to me. i love the feet, i’ve never seen pigs feet before. sounds like something you’d have for wednesday breakfast, which isn’t that horrible. my grandmother used to make pigs feet for christmas, they were pretty good, she made a mean homemade (duh) mustard sauce.

one time when i was in high school, i was really mad about something, who knows what. you told me to listen to graceland, and ever since then it has been my “calm down ale life is going to be ok album…”
which is awesome.
anyway, i guess i hope that you aren’t mad or sad and using the album as a calm-down thing.
so how are you?
man that was a long and convoluted note.

Feeling a spot of warm from these! Chelsea is so cute. I feel like making those doggie lovie noises at her. Okay, I am making them. Such a good girl!
Now, Girdie, she’s cute too, but not as much especially in the droppings arena.
The first picture would be a great cover for something. A book of memories a CD mix, I don’t know, it evokes a calm and fun vibe all at once.

Your dog is so cute! I miss my dog; she was so good at giving out unconditional love! Plus, she always managed to sit on my foot (that was pretty endearing)!
