Where procrastination comes to flourish

Oh, I forgot to tell ya…

I quit my job at the deli! Well, sorta. I put in my notice and they’re looking for my replacement. Will soon be unemployed. Scary. I’ll be sad to go, in a way, but I’m looking forward to having some time to figure out my new game plan. Must clean bathroom now.Oh, and Asa and I just spent $10 at the laundromat, and that was only for the washers! One of the machines had a label on the door that read, “DO NOT PUT ANY PERSONS INSIDE.”

Darn. They foiled my plan.

LOL That’s a funny laundromat story.Wow, I want to be like you. You are what I want to be. You take risks. I should. I should take them. I probably would have at least taken the risk of moving to Seattle to be with Chris if I had the money to go. That’s something I can’t do—leave knowing I don’t have the money to fill my tank for 2600 miles :p

I’ve always wondered how painful being spun inside a washer would be. But, alas, they’ve scuttled the chance of reading an amusing treatise on the subject. So I guess the trivia questions at the deli weren’t enough to keep you amused? In any event, good luck. If anyone deserves to make a living off writing, it’s you.

RYC: Not yet. I’ve tried to contact him several times. I’m really frustrated about that.

dude…I hope you dont have to do laundry too often, cuz at 10 bux a pop, you could BUY a washer and dryer pretty fast!

Paying for laundry sucks-we also are laundrymat folks and the only thing I like about it is having flashbacks of my favorite book as a kid, Courderoy. Did you ever read it? It’s about a teddy bear who goes for a ride in a washing machine. At least I think that is what it’s about….my grandpa read me my betime stories and he generally just made up new things to match the pictures, so my impressions of books I was read often vary from their actual content. Congrats on ditching the deli! Although I didn’t know you hated it that bad. Perhaps because you blogged about hating it less than you did about the coffee shop. I’m glad that you are doing something you want to do. And here’s to hoping that your next job won’t make you want to scream. Although it might. I greived for our nation after figuring out our taxes this week. I called capitalism a gaping chasm of dispair. So I’m not a good person to give pep tals on things like this. But I do wish you well. ::smile::

Why is that all italics? Weird.

The sad part is, I bet they put that warning on there because someone’s actually attempted it before. In response to your quitting the Deli job I’m going to steal Tim’s comment: “So I guess the trivia questions at the deli weren’t enough to keep you amused? In any event, good luck. If anyone deserves to make a living off writing, it’s you.”

Hey you. Its been a really long time since I’ve commented on your all-mighty site. Hows it going? Yeah I know doing laundry sucks …alot…but I guess it could be worse. Right? Ah don’t worry about being unemployed as I think you’ll focus your spare time in order to find a new and better one. Oh well I’ll catch ya later. Hello to Chelsea.

Also, do not put springer spaniels in the washing machine.  Not that she’d fit, but she’d probably want to eat the agitator in the middle.  Or all the quarters. :)
