I love the city of Colorado Springs. Outhouses smell really badly, and there’s nothing you can do about it except breath through your mouth. The Colorado Rockies have ugly uniforms. I missed him even more than I realized.
Come to think of it, I knew all of the above facts before this weekend. It’s late and I just pulled in from a seven hour drive from the mountains in Colorado and I need to sleep, so there will be more on the mini-vacation later. Tomorrow night, I’m headed to the Stevie Nicks show in Albuquerque, not because I’m all that much of a Stevie Nicks fan, but because my roommate is obsessed and managed to spend more than a month’s rent on 7th row tickets. A local bar here is featuring a Stevie pre-concert bash complete with special “snow-covered Stevie cocktails” (let’s hope it’s just confectioner’s sugar) and all sorts of white-winged doves and landslides and gypsies. Hooray. Goodnight.

BLASPHEMER! Not a fan of Stevie??!?! Well, you will be after the show!
Pay very careful attention to her outfits – the last time I saw Stevie, she had like 5 costume changes, but each costume was just a different black lace dress, so if you weren’t looking, you wouldn’t even realize it. Try and snatch her shawl when she’s spinning around and then, umm, mail it to me. That’d be great.

Have fun at the show! I’m not a huge Stevie Nicks fan, either, but live shows are always a good time, and they’re fun for people watching, etc.

Back in the day Stevie really was the shizznit but now – hey – age is not everyone’s friend. It would be a worthwhile show just for the people watching potential alone. Do they still allow lighters or is it just lame-o glow sticks now?
